My aunt was telling me she knew that about this, didn't really think twice about and even thought about getting one for her son that was obsessed with reptiles...until a boy in her ward contracted a severe infection from his pet and it almost killed him. She said he FINALLY came back to church after a YEAR and even then he was hobbling down the isle with a walker, it paralyzed him for the majority of that time. My kids LOVE these turtles and now I'm so conflicted. What do I do? I really am asking.

Yea.. I wanted to get Ayden a turtle but Sean told me about the dangers. Maybe the turtles could "run away" or the animal queen came to take them back to her kingdom? Who know... thats a hard one!
